This is the first time I’ll be teaching this particular class, and it has an ambitious project list. Chances are that not everyone (perhaps no one) will be able to do everything in just three hours a day. Some will be able and willing to take hand work home, and some will not, so it will have to be finished in class, pre-empting other things. So, there will be choices to be made, and priorities set. And I may have overstated what is possible for the allotted time. In future, I may very well have to adjust down. Materials fees will be based on what each participant attempts, to paid on Friday. If an item is begun, but not finished, student will pay for that item.
Techniques:
Arashi shibori, with and without pleats
Rainbow dyeing
Clamped shibori
MX dyeing (cold water fiber-reative)
Acid dyeing (boiled)
Hand-stitched shibori
Machine-stitched shibori
